The intrigue of performing my craft on a big stage drew me to Palmetto Bluff many years ago. But it’s been the land and people that have kept me here.
I respect the forethought of the land planners in how they’ve developed Palmetto Bluff. Their vision embraced its history and followed an understated approach to allowing the land to speak for itself. Surrounded by such beauty - coupled with an unwavering commitment to excellence - is a work environment that is hard to replicate. Palmetto Bluff attracts like-minded professionals who share this passion and strive to leave our enduring mark on this special place.

I began my journey at Palmetto Bluff in March 2016 as a Front Desk Agent at the Montage Palmetto Bluff. After a brief stint in New Mexico, I returned to Palmetto Bluff as Recruiter.
I love working here because of the company culture and stunning property. My colleagues are always willing to help brainstorm new ideas - a very collaborative, creative, and open-minded group of professionals. And I can speak firsthand about the growth opportunities available to Associates who want to advance their careers!
Canoe Club Clubhouse Manager
Robin Whitaker
I started working at the Palmetto Bluff Club eight years ago, and I’ve stayed here over the years because the company truly cares about its team members. The senior leadership doesn’t hesitate to jump in and offer help when you need it, regardless of the task. And they promote within.
When I started as a supervisor, I was eager to learn everything I could and prove to the team (and myself) that I could accomplish anything thrown my way. When the newest village opened three years ago, I applied for a position with several other equally qualified contenders, but I got the job! And most recently, I was thrilled to be promoted to Canoe Club Clubhouse Manager.
There is a sense of family here, from my peers and associates to the membership. So if you’re interested in growing your career and connections, this is the place for you.
Assistant Canoe Club Manager

I have over 20 years of experience in food and beverage hospitality, most of that time spent in upscale restaurants. So when the Palmetto Bluff Club approached me in 2018 to be an On-Call Banquet Server, I was excited to work in a club environment where I could make meaningful connections with members. I knew it would also allow me to be creative with food and beverage offerings.
As the Assistant Canoe Club Manager today, I’m in a position to give our members an unforgettable experience and help provide my team members with a workplace where they can thrive. The Palmetto Bluff Club has given me many opportunities to gain more knowledge in the private club industry and pathways to achieve my personal career goals. Each day, I’m excited to come to work here because I know that no matter what comes my way, I will continue to learn and be supported by the great company.
