This past November, Corry Blanc, founder of heirloom cookware company Blanc Creatives, joined Palmetto Bluff as our Artist in Residence. Throughout his residency, Blanc’s meticulous attention to detail was apparent as he guided novice participants through the art of forging their own bar spoons. Outside the workshops, Blanc hosted a Q&A session at FLOW Gallery + Workshop (located on the scenic May River), where guests could learn about the proper care and maintenance of cookware to ensure it lasts for generations. The grand finale of his residency was Flame & Feast, a rustic al fresco celebration featuring Blanc Creatives cookware, dishes roasted over fire and flame, and an evening of lighthearted camaraderie.
