Our July Artist in Residence, Mary Campbell, join us on Monday, July 23rd, at the Artist Cottage for a week of Gallery Hours and workshops. Mary and her team handcraft their candles from start to finish in Greenville, South Carolina. Each hand-poured candle is inspired by the changing seasons with a cozy and inviting scent that stirs memories of the past and creates memories for the future. As our July Artist in Residence, Mary will be hosting a week of workshops and gallery hours to teach Palmetto Bluff members and guests the process of her craft.
On Monday, Mary will host a Meet + Greet from 4 to 6 p.m. for members and guests to learn more about her craft and to shop the collection. Mary will also be hosting Gallery Hours on Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. when members and guests can stop by the Artist Cottage to meet Mary and test out her unique candles.
Mary will also be host two workshops during her stay. On Thursday, Mary will welcome guests to the Artist Cottage for The Art of Candle Making Workshop from 1 – 3 p.m. This event is sold out. Mary will also take guests out into the ancient maritime forest of Palmetto Bluff to find the perfect florals during the Foraging for Florals Workshop. Guests will harvest some of the area’s bounty of natural blooms to create Lowcountry-inspired floral arrangements. This workshop is from 1 to 4 p.m.
