On June 14, we are excited to welcome our next Artist in Residence, Anne Blackwell Thompson of Blackwell Botanicals. Known for pressed blooms and foliage collected from the nooks and crannies of the Southern landscape, Blackwell Botanicals and Anne’s work is the culmination of years of study, including studio art and art history training and an apprenticeship with renowned botanical artist Stuart Thornton in Turin, Italy. Anne’s passion for creating led to the birth of Blackwell Botanicals in 2010, and today she works with private collectors, designers, and landscape architects on vibrant works of botanical art.
