about Brandon Finnorn

Brandon Finnorn is a Madisonville, Louisiana–based oil painter whose work celebrates the beauty and diversity of the Gulf Coast. Growing up along Alabama’s waterways, Brandon developed a passion for the outdoors and natural sciences, which led him to earn a medical degree before dedicating himself fully to art in 2017. Using photography and underwater exploration as inspiration, he captures coastal wildlife and marine environments, translating them into vibrant, detailed oil paintings. His work has been featured internationally in We Are Fly Fishing, In The Loop, and Mobile Bay Magazine, and he has collaborated with brands including Orvis and Simms. During his residency at Palmetto Bluff, Brandon will guide participants in exploring coastal landscapes and wildlife through observation, sketching, and painting techniques.
