about Clay Ross

Clay Ross is a multi-Grammy-winning artist and the founder of the Billboard chart-topping band Ranky Tanky. A native of South Carolina, Ross moved to New York City in 2002 and has since collaborated with artists as diverse as Gregory Porter, Snarky Puppy, and Bobby McFerrin. Through multiple collaborations with the U.S. State Department, he has toured worldwide as a Cultural Ambassador. As a teaching artist, through renowned cultural institutions, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Ross has facilitated various musical experiences, ranging from stand-alone concerts to intensive year-long creative workshops designed to have a powerful impact on participants’ daily lives.

Feel the music (and be inspired!) and join Clay Ross, a multi-Grammy-winning artist and the founder of the Billboard chart-topping band Ranky Tanky, for an inspiring and informative Singer-Songwriter workshop. During this workshop, Ross will teach participants techniques to compose original verse and chorus and how to draw on personal experiences to help inspire and create music. This workshop will impart knowledge from an experienced and accoladed musician to aspiring songwriters and musicians. It will leave all creators feeling motivated and connected to the ever-moving and flowing language of music!

Join us in the May River Chapel for an intimate evening of music and stories.
