If you’ve strolled through Wilson Village along the picturesque waterfront, you probably noticed Palmetto Bluff’s signature ice cream shop, Melt. A community favorite featuring signature southern ice creams, we are excited to announce that the colorful and inviting sweets shop has expanded its reach— offering sweet ice cream on the go!
That’s right…Melt is going mobile.
Hello, Sweet Melissa.
Named after Melissa Clementine Johnson, the mother of the early 20th-century owner of Palmetto Bluff, Sweet Melissa is led by Executive Chef Rhy Waddington and operated by Chef Jae Newby. A traveling “Melt on wheels,” the signature mint-colored mini truck serves a rotating menu of ice cream flavors, in cups or cones, along with a variety of toppings.
She made her official debut at Palmetto Bluff’s Rock the Bluff Labor Day event—celebrating the end of summer by serving up delicious homemade ice cream goodness to guests and visitors alike.
Be on the lookout and you too can indulge in sweet treats from this mini Melt on wheels. Sweet Melissa will be stationed throughout the Bluff at events serving up scoops of your favorite flavors and sprinkling a little fun wherever she goes.
